For the first time in history an entire generation can expect to do worse than their parents. For these 20-somethings, without a stable income, the prospect of finding somewhere affordable to live in London is like trying to find an empty underground carriage during rush hour. In an age of housing shortages, unaffordable prices and sky-high rents, becoming a property guardian can offer a practical and cheap alternative.
